Week Two

I think this is week two, it's hard to tell, all the days blend together and there is just so much going on it feels like I've been here for a month.

Shit has slowed down with the Standard crew, more fly days, I'm still waiting for a seat to open up in the heli. Some chances are looking good though, might go up with some of the private groups and do some filming for Northern Escape Heli.

I went up to Shames today and did a bit of filming with a dude from Prince Rupert. He's sponsored by a shop called Loaded that is there. Super nice weather the past couple days, blue bird and warm. Snowboarding is fun, hanging out at Har-lee's lodge with the boys in the evenings after riding and it's super chill. Tonite I had an amazing Thai dinner home cooked by a lady from Thailand. Sooooo good, sushi too!!

I got to check out a couple of lines they filmed today too. Soooooo crazy, Lando and JohnJ killing it. I am super stoked to get up. Travis hooked me up with a bag last nite. It's super sick. Jeff Curtes' Burton camera bag, one of 12 made a year. Sooo trick. I've got my XL2 all loaded up in it and it's ready to go, just waiting for the call to suit up and jump in the heli. Until then, Shames will do. Good scene there. Found a sweet Trump Donald today, so fun. Andy would be stoked.

Stay tuned, there should be an exciting update soon!

Watch out!

Week One

So, I've been here for a week. Rolled into town late last Sunday night. Fount out my Rogers cellphone doesn't work here, also no internet. So, as of right now, no pictures. I hooked up with Mike Hatchett and Travis Robb with the Standard riders last Monday, and since then have been super busy.

Shot a bunch of interviews with all the riders, heli pilot, and owner of Northern Escape Heli Ski. They turned out pretty cool. Got some good "lifestyle" shots on Saturday night too, haha. We also filmed Mark Landvik's intro on 16mm last week, and have been brainstorming/storyboarding the intros for the rest of the guys.

They have all been pretty much stuck in the lodge for the past week because of weather, but the week after this is looking good. Yesturday I did my heli safety and transciever training, so I am on standby waiting for good weather and an empty seat.

I was able to make it up to the hill a couple times last week. The first day there was a foot of fresh. Super funnnnn bombing around in all the snow. The second day I went they broke the 400cm mark with a base of 402cm. Mount Baker which is pretty much the record breaker for snowfall is at 406cm right now, so yeah, that a lot of snow! This week it will probably beat Baker because they are expecting an AK coldfront to come down here and bring a lot of precip.

I will try and get pictures up soon, but until then, this will have to do.

The Beginning

I figured since I'm moving so far away from everyone, I don't want to disappear for good. So, I started this blog to keep everyone updated on the happenings of DTE and myself. Now that I've been unleashed on the world I'm gonna try and throw up the most interesting pics of whatever goes down in BC.

I'm gonna be filming for Standard Films (www.stanadardfilms.com) for the next month, so I hope to have lots of rockstar pics to throw up real soon.

Stay tuned...
